It was REALLY hard to find a hotel that wasn’t booked. I was able to get this booked for coaches/players at Western Rugby rate ($89) – but I took all the booked rooms and they wouldn’t allow parents to have this rate anyway. The are other rooms available, but not at the special rate, the regular rate is $159/night.
There is a café of sorts connected and they will have hot breakfast available (potatoes, eggs, bacon – no pancakes) – but we pay for breakfast. Starting at 6:30 in the morning – I’ve warned them we are coming.
Our first match is against Kansas City at 12:00 on Saturday
Sunday our match will be at 9:30 or 11 – depending on how we’ve done so far. Against Katy or Jenks, OK, depending on what their outcome on Saturday.
NOTE: THEY DO NOT ALLOW METAL CLEATS ON THIS FIELD – this is an artificial surface and the city of Fort Worth does not allow use of metal cleats. All players must either wear molded soccer-style cleats or replace metal spikes w/ screw-in plastic spikes
