The preliminary schedule below is confirmed, except where indicated by an asterisk *; those dates with an asterisk * could change slightly as the State and Western Championship dates could change or if there is a change made to the England/Scotland Tour.  Please be sure to check the website for times/location, as games will be posted at least a week in advance of actual game.
There could be changes to the playoff schedule that would be outside our control and MAY result in alterations in our cup match schedule.

The Ladies won the crown this weekend in Austin at the State Rugby Tournament. It is the first State Championship by the Woodlands Girls Varsity Team.

Girls between the ages of 14 and 19 who would not have the opportunity to attend camp due to financial reasons

A monumental increase in the number of U13/U11 players from the past tournament: 20 versus 100+ this year. I heard many positive comments along the afternoon regarding this age group, and one of those came from a gent from South Africa who played many years there. He said even back then, the level of play was no where near what we have today at that young age.

Well done by all coaches and players with a very busy day. A BIG hats off to all parent volunteers who made the day flawless and stress free for everyone involved. As I walked around the complex and watched/listened to other teams and their ‘goings on’, I was SO impressed by our organization and level of engagement by parents. Job very, very well done by all and thank you!!

The next step is state finals for our U19 and ladies’ teams in Austin April 24/25. More information on that very soon as we will need to meet after practice a week from tonight to discuss some details. You will be receiving an email from your lead parents very soon.

The Western Nationals for U19s are the following weekend in DFW (May 1,2). If we end as #1 or #2 in state, we will receive an invite. While we have to perform well to make one of those slots, I would leave that weekend open in the event we are fortunate enough to receive the invite.

The state tournament for U17, U15, U13, U11 is May 8. We will likely be hosting that tournament here in The Woodlands, and we will need a VERY BIG parent volunteer turnout to make this a success. I am in the process of securing fields, and as soon as we have confirmation, we will need to begin the process of planning and organizing.

U19, U17 and U15 players (and anyone else who wants to travel en bloc) are meeting at TWHS 630 for 645am departure. If you need a ride or have space and want to carpool, please meet at the school (on time). We will have in excess of 90 players at the tournament, so we need everyone to please be punctual throughout the day.

U13/U11 departure has been set by Coach Greg and Ian, so please follow those instructions. Ladies are a bit scattered as some of you have conflicts in the am. Please arrive ahead of the clinic start time.

Everyone please ensure you have your mouthguards and sunscreen. We will have water/gatorade at our base area. Stay hydrated as it will be warm at there is a lot of rugby tomorrow!
