The Annual Banquet for players and their families will be held Monday, May 19 at 6:30 at the Alamo Joe's. Players and family members are $15 per person. Player awards will be given at the banquet. Raffle ticket and money's are due as well. Please bring the ticket stubs completed.

Crowne Plaza-Houston Suites, 9090 SW Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77074 and is about 1.5 miles from the pitch - Call (713) 995-0123 ask for IN HOUSE RESERVATIONS. Request the Texas High School Rugby Championship rate, the rate is $99 flat (king or two queens) and includes a full, American breakfast for up to four persons in a room. All of our accommodations are two-room suites with a separate living room and bedroom. The rate extends to all schools participating in the tournament, faculty, parents, friends, etc. as long as they identify themselves as being associated with the tournament.

Team Check-in and Registration
Teams will have check-in according to team kick offs and schedule. Please be on time and have all necessary documentation available. ALL Players will need photo ID’s at registration. We will need a copy of every players birth certificate by Wednesday's Practice.

U17 and U19 will be on both Saturday and Sunday U15 will be held only on Sunday

On Sat evening there will be a planned TYRA Banquet with a USA Rugby Guest Speaker and announcement of the All-Star Teams and Coaches (for the rugby players, coaches and all staff) following the last match played at about 6:30 pm until about 9:00 pm For more information , contact Rick Marshall on his cell number: 281-389-9620

Girls Match this weekend

Please join me in congratulating Ariel and Amy as being named Captain and Co-Captain respectively.

Here is the schedule for the day
1130 - Arrive at field to help Coach set it up - if you can be there earlier, awesome - let Coach know
12-1245 - Joint practice with TCU
1245-1330 - GAMES! Three 15 min periods of 7-a-side rugby
1330-1500 - HARC Women vs Austin Women
The HARC Women will "tear down" the field.

Please plan on staying and mingling with the TCU gals as this is another part of the rugby tradition. My plan was to order Subway subs - one 6" per girl- for all players. Can anyone's parent(s) help to organize as I will be playing in the Women's match that day?? The club will reimburse for the costs.

What to bring
Shorts, Socks, MOUTHGUARD, kletes, sunscreen and FUN! (Ariel, please bring the Woman of the Match jersey).

Dear U19 Players and Families,

We have a difficult decision to make concerning our participation and attendance at upcoming events. We will be playing in the State Quarterfinals Saturday in Dallas and then on to the State Championship in Houston. If we finish as one of the three top club teams in the state, we will be invited to the regionals in St. Louis in May and we need to determined several things.

First we must determine our players’ commitment to the state finals as well as regionals in St. Louis. Our players must be committed to going to state and/or regionals.

Second, if our players and families commit to going to St. Louis, we must have parent volunteers willing to coordinate the trip, raise funds and do all the little things necessary to make it a successful endeavor.

We will have a meeting for U19 parents and players, Tuesday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. in The Woodlands High School cafeteria to determine what the team and the families are committed to in the final stages of the season.

U15/Freshman friendly against St Thomas this Friday. Car pool at McCullough Junior High at 350 pm with a 4 pm depart. Coach Tibby will be the point of contact for the carpool. We have a 5 pm kickoff, so everyone please arrive at St Thomas ASAP.
